KMG-Aero Continues to Attract International Carriers: Refueling of Thai AirAsia X Flights Launched at Almaty Airport
“KazMunayGas-Aero” LLP has signed an agreement with Thai carrier Thai AirAsia X and has commenced into-plane refueling operations for aircraft operating scheduled passenger services on the Almaty–Bangkok route. Under the agreement, the KMG subsidiary provides into-plane refueling services at Almaty International Airport, fully complying with international standards of aviation safety, fuel quality, and operational efficiency.
Serving one of Southeast Asia’s largest carriers underscores the growing interest of international airlines in the Kazakhstani market and contributes to the expansion of Almaty International Airport’s route network. The agreement was made possible by the reduction of aviation fuel prices in Kazakhstan for international airlines and more competitive fuel supply conditions at the country’s key aviation hub.
These measures form part of a consistent effort to implement the instructions of the Head of State aimed at developing the country’s transport and logistics potential, strengthening the competitiveness of domestic airports, and creating favorable conditions for attracting foreign airlines.
KMG-Aero, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, continues its systematic work to expand cooperation with leading international carriers and to establish transparent, stable, and competitive aviation fuel supply conditions at Kazakhstan’s airports. It is important for us that foreign carriers choose Kazakhstani airports as strategic points to expand their route networks. In turn, we ensure stability, safety, and high-quality refueling operations, KMG-Aero stated.
Thai AirAsia X is a Thai airline and a member of the AirAsia group. The carrier operates scheduled flights to Kazakhstan, Japan, South Korea, Australia, China, and other countries in the Middle East.
Earlier, KMG-Aero also signed agreements to provide into-plane refueling services at Almaty International Airport with SpaceBee Airlines, AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines, My Freighter Airlines, Easy Charter, and Turkish Airlines.
