KMG Aero Presented Sustainable Aviation Fuel Initiatives at an International Forum in St. Petersburg
KazMunayGas-Aero LLP (KMG Aero) took part in the International Transport and Logistics Forum held in St. Petersburg, which brought together around 5,000 participants from more than 80 countries.
The forum opened against the backdrop of global macroeconomic challenges affecting all continents and served as an important platform for discussing the prospects for the development of the global transport and logistics industry.
The Kazakh delegation was led by the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Sauranbayev.
The forum’s business agenda covered key issues including the development of transport infrastructure, freight and passenger transportation, industry digitalization, the introduction of innovative solutions, and the improvement of regulatory mechanisms. Particular attention was paid to the development of transport corridors across the CIS and Greater Eurasia during dedicated panel sessions.
During the panel session titled “Decarbonization Tools for International Aviation under CORSIA,” KMG Aero delivered a presentation on the advancement of the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project in Kazakhstan. The company reported that the feasibility study for the project has been fully completed. Work is currently underway to address and align all necessary aspects required to move into the implementation phase.
KMG Aero’s participation in the international agenda underscores the company’s commitment to implementing environmentally sustainable solutions in the aviation industry and to enhancing Kazakhstan’s transit potential.
The forum is being held for the first time and has already established itself as a significant platform for strengthening international cooperation, exchanging expertise, and developing joint solutions aimed at improving the efficiency of transport systems and advancing integration processes across the Eurasian region.
