National Airlines Expands Flight Network in Kazakhstan: Aktobe Added to Routes

American carrier National Airlines has expanded its flight network in Kazakhstan. Today, October 20, KazMunayGas-Aero LLP (a subsidiary of JSC NC KazMunayGas) performed its first “into-plane” refueling of the carrier’s Boeing 747-400F cargo aircraft at Aktobe International Airport. The aircraft was operating a flight on the Kuala Lumpur – Aktobe – Jakarta route.

Previously, KMG-Aero announced the signing of an agreement with National Airlines for into-plane refueling services. The first flight under this partnership — a Boeing 777 cargo aircraft flying the Hong Kong – Turkistan – Amsterdam route — was serviced on October 16 at Turkistan International Airport. With the addition of Aktobe, the agreement now covers six airports across Kazakhstan: Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Shymkent, Turkistan, and Aktobe. This allows the airline to utilize a single aviation fuel supplier across different regions of the country, simplifying refueling logistics for international flight planning.

Aktobe International Airport serves as a vital aviation hub in Western Kazakhstan, facilitating the development of the region’s transport and logistics links. The expansion of international cargo operations enhances the airport’s transit potential and contributes to the integration of Western Kazakhstan into global logistics routes.

This work is being carried out in line with the Head of State’s instructions to develop Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics potential and strengthen its position as a key Eurasian aviation hub. KMG-Aero is expanding its cooperation with foreign airlines, increasing the number of serviced carriers and bolstering the role of Kazakhstani airports in international cargo and passenger transportation. Today, the company serves approximately 50 foreign airlines.

Background: National Airlines is an American airline headquartered in Orlando, Florida. The carrier specializes in cargo and passenger charter services, including the transport of commercial, oversized, and specialized cargo. The company’s fleet includes Boeing 747 and Boeing 777 cargo aircraft.
