May 23, 2023, in Astana, within the framework of the 1st KAZAKHSTAN AVIATION TALKS, KazMunayGas-Aero LLP (Republic of Kazakhstan) and China National Aviation Fuel (China) signed a Memorandum of understanding to ensure energy security in terms of the possible supply of jet fuel.
“Due to changes in the geopolitical situation in the world, Kazakhstan can become a new transit point for international air carriers. As passenger and cargo air transportation increases, China National Aviation Fuel is ready to invest in the aviation industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and intends to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Xu Guohong, CEO of China National Aviation Fuel Group.
