The first refueling of the aircraft with Jet A-1 aviation fuel took place at Almaty International Airport. The refueling of Uzbekistan Airlines was carried out by a subsidiary of KazMunayGas – KazMunayGas-Aero LLP.
This event became an important stage in the implementation of measures to diversify the aviation fuel market of Kazakhstan and expand the capabilities of the domestic aviation infrastructure. Earlier, through KMG-Aero, in cooperation with Petrochina and a Kazakhstan logistics company, deliveries of Jet A-1 aviation fuel from the Dushanjin Oil Refinery (PRC) were organized using international routes.
Diversification of aviation fuel supply sources, taking into account the growing transit, will allow:
▪️to increase the stability of the aviation fuel supply system
▪️create additional opportunities for international carriers
▪️to ensure the flexibility of logistics chains
▪️to strengthen the energy security of the country.
The project is implemented by KMG with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the instructions of the Head of State to develop the country’s transport and logistics complex and strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic aviation industry.
KMG-Aero will continue to expand the geography of aviation fuel supplies, introduce international service standards and develop a modern aviation fuel supply system at airports of Kazakhstan.
