KMG-Aero LLP, a subsidiary of JSC NC KazMunayGas (KMG), has signed an agreement with Belgian cargo carrier ASL Airlines Belgium to provide into-plane aircraft refuelling services at Almaty International Airport.
The partnership is being implemented in line with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan aimed at strengthening the country’s position as a key Eurasian aviation hub and enhancing its transport and logistics potential.
Under the agreement, KMG-Aero will ensure refuelling services for the European carrier’s flights in full compliance with international quality standards. Owing to its strategic location at the crossroads of major air routes between Asia and Europe, Almaty International Airport continues to reinforce its role as an attractive destination for technical transit stops and international cargo operations.
The engagement of such a major international carrier reflects the high level of confidence in Kazakhstan’s aviation fuel supply infrastructure. Established in 1999 and formerly operating as TNT Airways, ASL Airlines Belgium is now part of the globally recognised ASL Aviation Holdings Group. The airline operates a diverse fleet ranging from Boeing 737 narrow-body aircraft to Boeing 747-400ERF wide-body freighters.
The carrier operates scheduled cargo services worldwide, including key destinations across China, the United States and Europe. It also manages its primary hub in Liège, Belgium, and coordinates logistics operations for the FedEx-TNT express integrator.
Expanding partnerships with leading global cargo airlines remains a strategic priority for KazMunayGas, supported by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
