KazMunayGas-Aero to Build an Aviation Fuel Storage Facility in the Turkistan Region

An investment project to construct an aviation fuel and lubricants storage facility is planned for the Sauran district of the Turkistan region.

The project is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State to develop the country’s transport and fuel infrastructure.

KazMunayGas-Aero presented the current status of the project and future implementation plans. Nuralkhan Kusherov, Akim (Governor) of the Turkistan region, emphasized the importance of the project for the development of the region’s infrastructure.

The project involves the construction of a storage facility for Jet A-1 and TS-1/RT aviation fuel, as well as lubricants, in the Orangay rural district of the Sauran district.

The total storage capacity will be up to 8,000 cubic meters. The estimated investment volume is 10 billion tenge. Once the facility is commissioned, approximately 50 jobs will be created.

The Regional Coordination Council has approved the allocation of a 10.93-hectare land plot. Land management documentation is currently being developed.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.

The implementation of this project will contribute to strengthening the aviation fuel infrastructure of the Turkistan region, enhancing the stability of the aviation fuel market, and creating new opportunities for regional economic development.
