📊 At the end of 10 months of 2024, KazMunayGas-Aero LLP (a subsidiary of KMG) sold jet fuel for foreign airlines at an average competitive price of $1,020 per tonne using the formula pricing method, while the price per tonne in the airports of neighbouring countries was $1,242.
🛫 It is noteworthy that KMG-Aero does not apply formula pricing for domestic airlines, so the price includes only the cost of production and operating expenses, making for the current year an average of $820 per tonne (with refuelling service ‘in to plane’) or about 400 thousand tenge. In other words, the current world price of jet fuel (as in formula pricing) is not taken as a basis for calculations with local air carriers, which ensures affordability of prices for Kazakhstani customers.
☑️ Today, to develop the transit potential of Kazakhstan’s airports, the company is implementing a number of its own investment projects in Astana and Aktobe, as well as planning similar projects in Turkestan, Aktau and other cities in Kazakhstan. These projects are aimed at the construction and modernisation of aviation fuel infrastructure for the use of advanced jet fuels such as Jet A-1 and SAF.
⚡️Investment volume is about 15 billion tenge, which will create about 140 new jobs in the regions where the projects are implemented. KMG-Aero’s share in the market of commercial sales of jet fuel in Kazakhstan is 16%.
