LLP KazMunayGas-Aero is launching a major investment project in the Turkistan region, with an investment volume of approximately KZT 5 billion. The project was presented during a working meeting between the General Director of KazMunayGas-Aero, Ildar Shamsutdinov, and the Akim of Turkistan Region, Nuralkhan Kusherov.
The future oil depot will include a tank farm with a total capacity of 20,000 cubic meters, of which 12,000 cubic meters will be designated for storing aviation fuel, including Jet A-1. The project also provides for the delivery of a modern airfield refueling truck. The construction period is scheduled from 2026 to 2028.
The new facility is expected to ensure a reliable and stable supply of aviation fuel, enhance the region’s energy resilience, and contribute to the expansion of aviation and logistics infrastructure. Upon completion, the project is projected to significantly increase both passenger and cargo traffic, strengthening the region’s position as a key transportation hub. Additionally, up to 50 new jobs will be created.
The Akimat of Turkistan Region has expressed full support for this initiative.
It should be noted that the project is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State regarding infrastructure modernization, transport logistics development, and improving the investment attractiveness of the regions.
