At the MRO Central Asia: Kazakhstan conference, which brought together more than 200 aviation industry representatives, a key highlight was the presentation by KazMunayGas-Aero LLP outlining the progress of Kazakhstan’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project. Company representatives announced that the project’s feasibility study has been fully completed. They also noted that, following an official meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the leadership of the U.S. company LanzaJet, an interagency working group has been established. The group includes representatives of relevant ministries and is coordinated by the Ministry of Energy. At present, all necessary issues are being aligned to transition the project to the stage of practical implementation.
The conference gathered airlines, manufacturers, MRO providers, and suppliers, serving as an effective platform for sharing experience and building new partnerships. Participants held productive meetings, visited a specialized exhibition, and concluded the event with a matchmaking session that identified promising areas for future cooperation.
