Today, the opening ceremony of the qualifying stage of the Spartakiad among employees of subsidiaries and affiliates of JSC NC KazMunayGas, based in Astana, was held in the capital.
More than 300 employees from 10 companies are taking part in the соревнования, including JSC NC KazMunayGas, KMG Kashagan B.V., KMG Engineering, KMG Security, KazMunayGas-Aero, KMG Kumkol, KMG Drilling & Services, KMG Barlau, KMG Karachaganak, and Kazakhstan Energy Reinsurance Company.
The qualifying stage features competitions in 15 sports, including futsal, volleyball, basketball, tug of war, esports, togyzkumalak, armwrestling, chess, asyk atu, bes asyk, archery, table tennis, and swimming.
This year, the Spartakiad program has been expanded to include athletics, which will be held in relay and individual race formats. Based on the results of the games, the winners will qualify for the final stage of the KMG Spartakiad, which will also take place in Astana.
Overall, KazMunayGas places strong emphasis on promoting a healthy lifestyle, popularizing sports, and strengthening corporate spirit. The Company organizes sports events on an annual basis, including charity marathons.
