Civil aviation is one of the fastest growing types of transport services in the world. The development of the industry not only connects countries and continents, but also enhances the growth of many related services, which altogether create a significant amount of employment and income for the country’s economy. The most significant external advantage for the development of route networks and the utilization of the transport and logistics potential of civil aviation in Kazakhstan is the geographical position between the main Asian emerging markets and Europe coupled with the expected growth in air traffic in these countries.
On January 23, 2023 a meeting was held between KazMunayGas-Aero LLP and Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport JSC. The management of the companies in a working format were able to discuss the development of the aviation industry, including options to solve issues hindering the development of civil aviation in Kazakhstan – the absence of a multiplier effect of investments in the industry and the creation of conditions for fair competition. In addition, negotiations were held on the transition to international JIG standards and the modernization of the refueling complex for Jet A-1.
The parties came to a common consensus on resolving many issues in the aviation industry and decided to move as a united front for the benefit of the development of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
