Volunteers from the KazMunayGas Group of Companies continue to carry out important social initiatives. As part of a charitable campaign, KMG employees donated three televisions to the oncology department of the National Scientific Center for Maternal and Child Health (UMC). The new equipment was installed in treatment rooms where children undergo lengthy procedures and systemic IV therapies.
The televisions are intended to help young patients manage anxiety during treatments by distracting their attention and creating a more comfortable atmosphere. This initiative is aimed at supporting children and their parents during the stressful and emotionally challenging times associated with prolonged medical care.
«When you see what these children go through, it’s impossible to stay indifferent. We wanted to bring a bit of comfort and warmth to their daily reality. These televisions are more than just devices — they serve as a means to help children momentarily forget about pain and fear», said Alemgul Rakhmetova, Manager of the Accounting and Audit Department at KMG-Aero LLP.
This donation is part of KMG’s broader corporate volunteer program, through which the company’s employees regularly organize charitable events to support healthcare institutions and vulnerable populations.
