Air Silk Road International Cooperation Forum

On September 5-6, Beijing National Convention Center hosted the fifth Air Silk Road International Cooperation Forum (ASRIF) as part of the annual China International Fair for Trade in Services. This year the topic of ASRIF was “Innovative development of civil aviation and strengthening regional cooperation.”

During the 2 days of ASRIF more than 300 delegates from international organizations, representatives of foreign embassies in China, the scientific community, financial institutions, top managers of international airports and airlines, management of aviation economic zones, fuel operators, as well as representatives of relevant Chinese ministries discussed the development of the civil aviation industry, strengthening regional cooperation, the introduction of innovative technologies in the field of civil aviation, as well as the low-carbon development program.

KazMunayGas-Aero LLP was invited to participate part in the Forum and to be a keynote speaker at a panel session dedicated to energy security, as a reliable strategic partner of the Chinese state company China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited (CNAF).

“Within the framework of the 1st Kazakhstan Aviation Dialogue in Astana on May 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between KazMunayGas-Aero LLP and CNAF to ensure energy security. As part of the Memorandum, we are wroking to build up the technical base and adopt the experience of our Chinese colleagues in forming national aviation fuel operators. It is gratifying that today KazMunayGas-Aero LLP has become a member of the Alliance for International Cooperation on the Air Silk Road,” – noted Ildar Shamsutdinov, General Director of KazMunayGas-Aero LLP.

For reference: China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited (CNAF) is a Chinese state-owned company specializing in the storage and sale of aviation fuel, one of the largest Chinese companies in terms of revenue, present in 226 Chinese and 48 foreign airports, the average annual turnover of aviation fuel is about 30- 35 million tons per year.
