KMG launches construction of a large fueling complex at Aktobe airport

Today, a capsule laying ceremony was held at Aktobe International Airport to launch the project for the construction of a new fueling complex (FFC). The event was attended by Galymzhan Yeleuov, Deputy Akim of Aktobe region, Dastan Maliyev, Chairman of the Aktobe Airport Board, and Ildar Shamsuddinov, General Director of KazMunaiGaz-Aero LLP.

In his Address to the people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State set tasks to develop the transit potential of the country. The project of construction of a new fuel and refueling complex by KazMunaiGas-Aero LLP, a subsidiary of KazMunaiGas, is aimed at their fulfillment.

The new fueling complex is a pilot project in Kazakhstan, implemented at a regional airport. At the new fueling complex, along with aviation fuel RT, TS-1, it will be possible to use Jet A-1 aviation fuel. The implementation of this project will give an impetus to the development of the region, will increase the competitive advantage of the airport, and will contribute to a significant increase in the transit potential of our country.

The first stage includes the construction of a mobile fuel filling station (on wheels) with a capacity of 600 cubic meters of aviation fuel and the purchase of two refueling trucks.

The second stage includes the construction of a stationary tank farm for 20,000 cubic meters, a loading and unloading rack, a dispatch center and other facilities.

The complex will meet all international safety standards, provide a high level of quality fuel service for air carriers, and create new jobs for the region’s residents.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2026.
